Wanjiku is an experienced voluntary sector leader with over 20 years’ senior management experience and a strong track record in strategic leadership, partnership working, advocacy, service development and organisational sustainability in Wales. Born in Kenya to a coffee farmer, Wanjiku now lives in Wrexham with her family while remaining actively involved in development initiatives in Kenya. She holds a Master’s degree in Community Development and is passionate about equality, social justice, community empowerment and creating lasting positive change. Her work is grounded in collaboration, inclusion and a commitment to building stronger, more resilient communities in Wales, Kenya and beyond.

Having roots in Kenya and living in Wales, I feel a personal connection to Size of Wales’ vision of linking people, communities and action across continents. I am passionate about supporting work that protects our environment, strengthens communities and recognises that we all have a role to play in creating a sustainable future.
