John, a former physicist, is a geologist and physical geographer focused on climate and environmental change. A trustee, research advisor, and EDI champion at Amgueddfa Cymru, he is also a director of Diverse Cymru and serves on the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority. After a stroke at 42 led to early retirement, he became an advocate for disability inclusion. A former fellrunner and caver, he runs Wales’ highest live weather cam(& station(. With 20+ years in science outreach, he promotes geology, placemaking, and climate awareness while bridging arts and science as a poet.
