Branwen has extensive experience in communications, campaigning and international development. Earlier in her career she was Head of Communications at Christian Aid in Wales. Her international communications work has taken her to countries across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, including work following humanitarian emergencies. She filmed in Haiti shortly after the 2010 earthquake and worked in Kenya for several months during the 2012 drought.
Branwen has also campaigned for the Welsh language and is passionate about equality, justice and ensuring that people’s voices are heard. She believes Wales has a responsibility to act as a nation that is genuinely conscious of its global impact.
“Through my work, I have seen first-hand how inequality, climate change and decisions made thousands of miles away affect people’s lives. I believe strongly in the power of communications to amplify voices, challenge injustice and inspire action. Wales may be a small nation, but we can make a real difference by taking responsibility for our impact on people and the planet.”
