Ellen Griffiths

Trustee

Ellen is Senior Communications Manager at Proforest, a global non-profit working to build resilient agricultural and forestry supply chains and thriving production landscapes that deliver positive outcomes for people, nature and climate. She has a particular focus on Proforest’s collaborative action work, which includes landscapes and sectoral engagement, as well as finance sector and policy work.
Ellen joined Proforest in 2018, having worked previously at environmental NGO Global Canopy, which focuses on finance sector engagement.
She has nearly 30 years’ experience in marketing, PR and operations and has benefited from many voluntary experiences in France, America and Russia. Ellen speaks English, French and is learning Portuguese, and has a degree from the University of Oxford in French and History.

I am delighted to have joined Size of Wales as a Trustee – I’m really inspired by their work in tropical forest countries, especially their focus on Indigenous Peoples and local communities. This role appeals to my interest in resilient, sustainable commodities and also gives me a practical connection to, and way to use my skills to benefit my country of birth, Wales! I’m looking forward to working with the wonderfully dedicated group of people that make up the Size of Wales team.
