Help Ensure a Future with Forests!
We are over the moon to put Wales’ first Deforestation Free Champion (DFC) Council officially on the map! Thanks to the fantastic advocacy efforts of the pupils taking part in our Deforestation Free Communities campaign, Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) voted unanimously to become a DFC Council – you can read more about that here and here is MCC’s own announcement about the news. We hope MCC will be the first of many councils in Wales to sign the Deforestation Free Charter and commit to taking action for forests, people and nature! Well done to the pupils and MCC for making this a reality!
