Size of Wales video and book making challenge

Posted on
Size of Wales is excited to launch two competitions for primary aged children throughout Wales to help raise awareness of rainforests and deforestation.

For Foundation Phase (Nursery, Reception, Years 1 and 2), we’re looking for talented writers to create a book based on deforestation. This could be a story, a factual book or a picture book and could be a whole class, group or individual entry.

For Key Stage 2 (Years 3, 4, 5,6), we’re looking for budding filmmakers to make a short video about deforestation and climate change. Feel free to use your imagination and make whatever film works best, including a documentary, drama, or stop-motion animation.

All entries will be showcased on our website and the winning schools will have their book or film made professionally.

Our free workshops and resources will provide all of the information needed and the closing date is the 25th June 2021. Please send your entries or any questions to [email protected]

Good luck, and we can’t wait to see your creations!
