 Robin’s Rainforest Appeal
How a book inspired a young fundraiser

Robin Holmes was in Year 2 at St John the Baptist primary school in Pebmarsh, Essex when he read ‘Harry and the Dinosaurs Go Wild’, written by Ian Whybrow. The book is about a small boy raising money to save endangered animals and Robin decided he wanted to raise money to save rainforests. His Internet research led him to Size of Wales and he chose to donate the money to us. Robin made a poster to invite pupils to take part in a Non-Uniform day in school and he persuaded his classmates and parents to bake cakes to sell.

The day was a huge success and he raised an amazing £180!
This was doubled by our funders to make a huge £360 to help protect rainforests.
Thank you, Robin!!
