Rhys Jones

Community Outreach Officer

Rhys has an academic background in Environmental Sustainability and Development and joined SoW in 2023. Throughout his academic career, Rhys has volunteered with international development charities and worked in community engagement and outreach roles. Rhys has experience working in sustainability teams in the public sector but believes that at SoW, he can have a bigger impact in making Wales a more environmentally friendly country.

I am an environmentalist and I see it as my life’s goal to ensure that we live in a mutually-beneficial relationship with the natural world. At SoW, I’m really excited to create partnerships with different communities around Wales and highlight the value of our planet. To live healthy lives, we need a healthy planet – by allowing people to see the relationship they have with the planet, we will raise awareness on our duty to protect it – and create a truly sustainable Wales/Cymru.
