This series of lessons and tasks introduces concepts of forests, the importance of tropical forests, their role in climate change and how our behaviours influence deforestation. This connects with the national curriculum for Wales as it contains cross cutting themes. This lesson provides a rich context for exploring the issues of sustainability, climate change, nature, scarcity of natural resources, food security, consumerism and trade. We hope that learners come away with an understanding of the role of forests in climate change and their importance.
