Reporting to the Policy and Education Manager and working closely with the Deputy Director and Advocacy and Outreach Officer, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of Size of Wales’ new Deforestation Free Communities pilot project funded by the Co-Op Carbon Innovation fund.

The project will establish Deforestation Free Communities in Wales (piloting in Monmouthshire) to explore the issue of overseas deforestation linked to key commodities imported into Wales and empower people to take positive action. We aim to work with schools, farmers, local authorities, businesses and community groups to introduce more sustainable farming and food systems and create momentum for change. The campaign focuses on imported beef, soy, palm oil, cacao and coffee.

We are actively seeking and particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and ethnic minority communities and people from a diverse range of backgrounds.

This role is a fixed-term contract of 18 months working 4 days a week.
