Interested in connecting with schools on the other side of the world? Want to work together to protect tropical forests? Then twin your school through Size of Wales.
Through Size of Wales’ School Partnership Programme, your school, staff and pupils, could connect with their counterparts in Uganda and find out how life compares in these two areas. We have lots of schools in the Mbale region of Uganda who would love to twin with you. These schools are based near our project where we are helping to plant 10 Million Trees!
To start a conversation between Wales and Uganda we suggest planting a fruit tree in your school grounds; your twinned school will do the same. Pupils from both schools can then discuss how their tree is growing, and how they’re looking after it and how important it is to them.
This year Bardsey Island apple trees are available, a distinct Welsh variety which is recognised as the rarest apple tree in the world!
