Back to School!

After a nice summer holiday break, Nigel, our Education Outreach Officer is busy again visiting lots of schools.  He’s been updating us:

Go Green Day is fast approaching and my diary is filling up fast! Schools all over Wales have been getting in touch to express their interest and we’re loving some of the events that schools have planned for the day.

Blenheim Road Community Primary in Torfaen will be holding a wear green day that also involves face painting and making and selling green cakes, whilst Hay on Wye Community Primary in Herefordshire are attempting to build a tower of 10p pieces to match the height of a small oak tree in their grounds, as well as creating a Size of Wales charity box for their tuck shop to collect all of this year’s spare change!

We’re hoping to get as many schools involved as possible, with each participating school being eligible for a free assembly and workshop session– so what are you waiting for? On your marks, get set, Go Green!!!
