This month we’re saying a big thanks to Cardiff Metropolitan University as they have partnered with Size of Wales new and improved Education Outreach programme. They are our partner of the month!
Paul Thomas, Dean of the Cardiff School of Education at Cardiff Metropolitan University said “We are delighted to work in close collaboration with Size of Wales. This partnership provides a unique opportunity for the University and its partner schools across South Wales to benefit from this innovative and exciting project. It provides a strong platform to ensure that the School of Education’s current work in Outdoor Learning is further enhanced.”
“Many hundreds of school children have been involved in the University’s Outdoor Learning activities on the Cyncoed Campus in recent years, and this ever-growing initiative will continue to flourish with this added dimension.” he continued.
Size of Wales’ work with schools has been amazingly successful with over 200 schools learning about tropical forests with us in the last year! Many of these have since taken part in Go Green Day or organised their own fun days to raise money to help our projects. We are really pleased to be expanding this work over the next few years, thanks to the support of Cardiff Met. We hope loads of children, of all ages, around Wales and the UK will learn about tropical forests with us and get excited about the ways they can help sustain them.
